A-OK & Co. is a rotating cast of smart, kind, curious people who have a healthy obsession with making things work better for people trying to do good.
It’s driven by Principal & Founder Katherine O’Kelly, a systems-thinker who’s very lucky to have an amazing network of expert friends.
Together, we bring an unusual balance of perspectives: big-picture & hands on; empathy & technicality; ambition & pragmatism.
This makes us really, really good at solving the complex problems that leave others overwhelmed.

About Katherine.
Katherine is a Service Designer and Strategist with 9+ years of experience being a very specific kind of generalist.
A connector at heart, she studied Information Visualization with a minor in Computer Science at NYU Gallatin, which is exactly as strange and useful as it sounds.
Upon graduation, she got a running start at Doblin (Deloitte Digital), applying human-centered design to enterprise clients in financial services, healthcare, and beyond. She went on to build and lead operations at a bespoke creative agency (Origami Advisory), where she ran end-to-end service design engagements for clients like KiwiCo and Herman Miller.
In 2021, after juggling a critical mass of freelance projects with friends, she finally launched A-OK & Co. With the exception of two years embedded at Thrivent Financial as a Service Designer on their Money Canvas product team, she’s run the practice continuously since.
Her current focus is at the intersection of finance and politics, where the constraints are real, the stakes are high, and the opportunity to make genuinely complicated things more human is enormous.
She has been called a Service Designer, a Program Manager, an Interim Head of Ops, a firefighter, and That Redhead With The Good Questions. She prefers you call her a New Yorker, a teammate, or a friend.
